Jess is a great trainer, not just because she is knowledgeable, thoughtful in the program she develops, motivating, and inspiring.
Jess is a great trainer because she listens; she is highly attuned to nuances of each client's personality and emotional responses to the work and is flexible enough to respond accordingly; and she is curious - curious about people, about her profession, about the world.
I come for the intense, highly personalized, always-pushing-me-just-enough training sessions, but I stay for the stimulating conversations, Jess's sense of humor, and the way she makes exercise fun.
The fact that my arms look buffer, my waist looks slimmer, and I've gotten stronger and have more energy is great. But what Jess really gives me is a reminder every time I see her that I am worthwhile, I can do whatever I set my mind to, and that it is human connection that matters most in this world. Jess is the best trainer I've ever had!

I started working with Jess over a year ago and I can definitively say that my relationship with working out has changed for the better! Working out with Jess is one of the highlights of my week not only because of the results I see after our intense workouts, but also because Jess is one of the most fun and lively people to work with! I have a history of shoulder and knee injuries which Jess takes into account during our sessions and helps me feel more comfortable strengthening those areas. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about my sessions with Jess! She really takes the time to understand her clients needs and creates a fun and motivating workout experience.

I first fell in love with Jess when I attended her group classes at Uplift Studios. She was upbeat, motivating, fun, hilarious and so down to earth. She made me love working out and I always left her classes feeling so proud of myself. When it was time for me to train for my wedding, I couldn’t imagine personal training with anyone but Jess and it was the best decision I ever made! All my feelings of pride, motivation and empowerment I felt when leaving her group classes are magnified times 100 after personal training. It’s always the best start to my mornings! I wake up excited to see her and always leave feeling challenged, accomplished and extremely happy and energized. I train with Jess three days a week and notice a huge difference in my mood the days I see her versus those I don’t. Her programs are challenging, never boring, and very effective – I have noticed huge improvements in my overall strength, stability, and core.
She believes in my abilities so fiercely that it never crosses my mind that I can’t do that 30th burpee. She devotes 110% of her time and attention to me during our sessions and always programs thoughtful, difficult and effective workouts. Although I am sure I am often her third client of the day or come in after she’s taught a class, she is never off her game. Her immense knowledge of the body and exercises is very evident in her programs and the results! I have seen huge improvements in my strength, stability and overall fitness and function. In addition, I feel as though I’ve gained a great friend and confidante!

Jess is an absolute pleasure to train with. She knows how to challenge me out of my comfort zone in a way that’s supportive and impactful. It’s a great feeling to look back over an hour and realize that yes, I actually did all those burpees, stairway runs, and sandbag slams. So empowering!
